Queens, NY (October 20, 2020) – Around 6 p.m. on Saturday evening, October 17, a serious pedestrian accident took place in Queens.
According to the New York Fire Department and local authorities, the accident occurred on 204th Street near the area of Hollis Avenue when a pedestrian walking across the street was struck by a passenger vehicle.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with a wide array of serious injuries. Their condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. It is believed that the driver who struck the pedestrian remained at the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the crash continues at this time.
