Queens, NY – One Killed in Fatal Accident on 103rd Ave and Rockaway Blvd

Queens, NY (December 25, 2020) – Around 7 p.m. on Thursday night, December 24, one person was killed in a Queens accident.

According to police, the accident took place at the intersection of 103rd Avenue and Rockaway Boulevard. The crash occurred when a Toyota Camry and a Lamborgini Urus collided with each other at the intersection.

The 50-year-old driver of the Camry suffered from both head and leg injuries while a 54-year-old woman who was a passenger in the vehicle suffered from severe trauma to the head and body. Both were hospitalized. The female passenger was pronounced dead while there. She has since been identified as Ritawantee Persaud.

A 26-year-old passenger in the Lamborghini suffered from head and spine injuries. He was also hospitalized as a result.

Police confirmed that the driver of the Lamborghini fled the scene on foot. It is not known if police found the driver.

The investigation into the collision continues.
