Queens, NY (March 18, 2021) – Around 10:15 a.m. on Thursday morning, March 18, a car accident took place on a major highway in Queens.
According to police, the accident happened on I-678 (Van Wyck Expressway) around the area of Atlantic Avenue. Multiple vehicles collided in the southbound lanes of traffic. The vehicles involved were left with severe damages.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the crash. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Traffic was stopped back to Jackie Robinson Parkway for a period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
