Queens, NY (April 5, 2021) – Around 8:15 p.m. on Sunday night, April 4, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Queens.
According to officials, the accident happened on the Van Wyck Expressway around the area of Rockaway Boulevard. Multiple vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of traffic, which led to extensive damages to the vehicles involved.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized as a result.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes, which led to delays until police cleared the scene.
