Queens, NY (April 21, 2021) – Around 1 a.m. on Wednesday morning, April 21, a man was killed in a fatal crash at a Queens intersection.
According to police, the accident took place at the intersection of 111th Street and Atlantic Avenue. A man was driving a Honda Accord and traveling east when his vehicle and a Ford F-150 collided with each other. After the collision, the Honda continued onward and struck a parked Mercedes Benz.
Police confirmed that the driver of the Honda got out of the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. They did not say if any arrests have since been made.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. A 23-year-old man inside the Honda was rushed to the hospital unresponsive but was pronounced dead while there.
Several other victims from inside the Honda and the Mercedes were rushed to area hospitals for treatment of injuries.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
