Bronx, NY – Car Crash on Cross Bronx Expy Leads to Injuries

Bronx, NY (June 21, 2021) – At 12:15 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, June 21, a car crash with injuries occurred in the Bronx.

According to officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of the Cross Bronx Expressway around the area of White Plains Road and Westchester Avenue. Two or more vehicles were traveling on the highway when, for unknown reasons, they forcefully collided with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.

Two right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
