Manhattan, NY (June 6, 2021) – On Saturday night, June 5, a famous actress was injured in a pedestrian accident in Manhattan.
According to police, 65-year-old Lisa Banes of “Gone Girl” was crossing Amsterdam Avenue when she was struck by either a person on a motorcycle or a scooter. The driver of the vehicle immediately fled the scene without stopping.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. Banes was rushed to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital for treatment of critical injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked for a period of time.
