Queens, NY – Boy Struck in Pedestrian Accident at Flushing Meadows Corona Park

Queens, NY (July 20, 2021) – Around 7 p.m. on Sunday night, July 18, a boy was struck and injured in a pedestrian accident in Queens.

According to local police, the accident happened in the parking lot of the Flushing Meadows Corona Park. A 4-year-old boy was in the parking lot with his family when he was suddenly struck by a dirt bike rider. The driver then fled the scene of the accident without checking on the child.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately called to the scene. The 4-year-old child was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. His current condition is not yet known.

Police have not yet identified the driver of the dirt bike but said that their bike was gold and black.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
