Bronx, NY (January 6, 2021) – Around 1:35 a.m. on Monday morning, January 4, a car accident occurred at an intersection in the Bronx.
According to police, the accident took place at the intersection of East 216th Street and Bronxwood Avenue when a man in his 20s stole a Honda Civic. The man drove near the intersection, where his vehicle struck a Honda sedan in a T-bone collision.
The car thief, as well as the driver of the struck Honda, were both taken to a nearby hospital. The driver of the other vehicle was identified as a woman in her 20s. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
