Bronx, NY (May 8, 2021) – At 4:25 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, May 8, a car accident with injuries occurred in the Bronx.
According to authorities, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-87 around the area of 179th Street and Fordham Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to unknown reasons. This led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Traffic was blocked in the area for a period of time as police cleared the scene.
