Bronx, NY (December 5, 2020) – Around 7 p.m. on the evening of Saturday, December 5, a multi-vehicle accident took place in the Bronx.
According to authorities, the accident took place in the northbound lanes of I-87 around the area of East 233rd Street. Multiple vehicles collided with each other in the area, which led to extensive damages to the vehicles involved.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those with injuries. One or more injured parties were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in multiple lanes on the highway for an extended period of time.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision at this time.
