Bronx, NY (June 4, 2021) – At 5 p.m. on the evening of Friday, June 4, a multi-vehicle collision with injuries occurred in the Bronx.
According to police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-87 around the area of East 233rd Street. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not entirely known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the left lane until police cleared the scene, which led to slight delays.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
