Brooklyn, NY – Car Accident on the Gowanus Expy Near 6th Ave

Brooklyn, NY (May 10, 2021) – At 11:45 a.m. on the morning of Monday, May 10, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Brooklyn.

According to officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of the Gowanus Expressway around the area of 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue. Multiple vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other. This led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

Two lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
