Brooklyn, NY – Fatal Collision on Grand St and Manhattan Ave

Brooklyn, NY (November 25, 2020) – Around 1:10 a.m. on Wednesday morning, November 25, a fatal collision occurred in Brooklyn.

Police determined that the accident took place on Grand Street around the area of Manhattan Avenue. According to police, a 30-year-old man was driving his BMW SUV headed westbound on Grand when one of his tires blew out. This caused him to lose control of his vehicle, where he veered into the other lane of traffic and collided with a Honda. The Honda ran onto the sidewalk nearby and struck a tree.

The SUV continued onward and then struck a Honda Element. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged.

Paramedics were dispatched to the scene where they rushed the victim in first Honda to the hospital. He was identified as 26-year-old Alexander Ulloa-Toribio, who was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver of the BMW SUV and his 30-year-old passenger received injuries and were hospitalized. No arrests were made.

The driver of the Honda Element, identified as a 34-year-old man, was not injured as a result of the crash.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
