Brooklyn, NY (May 14, 2021) – Around 11 a.m. on Thursday morning, May 13, a fatal pedestrian crash took one life at a Brooklyn intersection.
According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of Kings Highway and Ramsen Avenue. A 49-year-old male pedestrian was crossing the street in the crosswalk when he was struck by a white van traveling through the area. The driver of the van did not remain at the scene and fled.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help the pedestrian. He was taken to the hospital unresponsive with severe trauma to his head and body. He tragically passed away at the hospital.
Police did not say if they caught the driver of the van but have been searching.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
