Brooklyn, NY (March 17, 2021) – Around 1 a.m. on Wednesday morning, March 17, a hit-and-run crash took place at an intersection in Brooklyn.
According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Warwick Street. At the time, a woman was driving her Toyota Scion headed west on Atlantic and attempted a left turn. At the same time, a Silverado pickup truck collided with her vehicle. The driver of the pickup truck immediately fled the scene.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the crash. The 28-year-old woman was pinned in her vehicle and sustained severe injuries. She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Police claim that the driver got out of his vehicle and fled on foot. They did not say if they found the responsible party.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
