Brooklyn, NY (February 26, 2021) – Around 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday evening, February 24, a man was killed in a pedestrian crash involving a hit-and-run driver. The pedestrian has since been identified as Imorne Horton.

According to the New York Police Department, the accident took place on Hamilton Avenue near the area of Court Street. At the time, 31-year-old Horton was walking across the street when he was struck by a passenger vehicle. The westbound vehicle continued driving instead of stopping at the scene.

Horton was rushed to a local hospital with severe injuries but was pronounced dead while there.

No description has been given on the vehicle as of yet and police are still looking for the responsible driver.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim at this time.
