Brooklyn, NY (February 22, 2021) – On Monday morning, February 22, an electric scooter accident occurred at an intersection in Brooklyn.

According to police, the accident took place at the intersection of 18th Avenue and 50th Street when a vehicle was making a turn at the intersection. The driver of an electric scooter was unable to avoid the collision in time and crashed into the passenger’s side of the vehicle.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident to help the injured party. The driver of the scooter, who has not yet been identified, was taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Their condition is not known at this time.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
