Brooklyn, NY – Jack Levy Killed in Fatal Crash on Strickland Ave

Brooklyn, NY (June 11, 2021) – Around 1 a.m. on Friday morning, June 11, a man was killed in a fatal crash in Brooklyn.

According to NYPD officials, the accident happened on Strickland Avenue in front of the Sunrise Senior Living Facility. At the time, a 22-year-old man was driving a Tesla at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a fence at the facility. The vehicle then crashed into a wall, which caused severe damages.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help. Five people inside the vehicle were taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The 18-year-old passenger in the vehicle, identified as Jack Levy, was pronounced dead. The injured victims were identified as the driver, as well as three passengers aged 18, 24, and 22.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for some time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
