Brooklyn, NY – Pedestrian Accident at New Utrecht Ave & 50th St Intersection

Brooklyn, NY (June 22, 2021) – On Monday afternoon, June 21, a pedestrian accident happened at an intersection in Brooklyn.

According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of New Utrecht Avenue and 50th Street. A 50-year-old man was walking across the street in the area when he was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital by ambulance. He has been listed in stable condition.

NYPD arrived at the scene and the unidentified driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
