Lawrence, NY – Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Burnside Ave

Lawrence, NY (May 3, 2021) – A teenager was struck and injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on a roadway in Lawrence.

According to officials, the accident happened on Burnside Avenue around the area of Lincoln Place. At the time, a 13-year-old boy was crossing the roadway when he was suddenly struck by a Volkswagen Passat. The vehicle immediately fled the scene of the crash.

Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The teen was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries to his knee and face.

Police are still searching for the driver responsible for the accident.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
