Manhattan, NY (January 11, 2021) – Around 6:20 a.m. on Monday morning, January 11, a multi-vehicle crash took place in Manhattan.
According to officials, the accident took place in the southbound lanes of FDR Drive around the area of East 77th Street when multiple vehicles collided with one another. One vehicle in the left lane was fully engulfed in flames following the accident. This led to extensive damages, including a vehicle with front-end damage.
Paramedics and fire crews were dispatched to the scene of the crash to help those with injuries. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The northbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
