Manhattan, NY (April 29, 2021) – Around 8:27 p.m. on the night of Wednesday, April 28, one person was injured in a Manhattan bicycle accident.
According to officials, the accident took place between a bicycle and a passenger vehicle at the intersection of East 79th Avenue and 1st Avenue. A bicycle was passing through the intersection when a vehicle struck the rider.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The bicycle rider, who has not yet been identified, was injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for some time.
