Queens, NY (May 23, 2021) – At 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, a man was killed in a construction accident in Queens.
According to police, the accident happened at a building under construction on Court Square. A man was removing a ladder in the area when he suddenly fell off the scaffold. Police confirmed that he was on the sixth floor at the time.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The construction worker, identified as 32-year-old Diego Lliguicota, was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
