Queens, NY (January 12, 2021) – Around 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning, January 12, a multi-vehicle collision took place on a highway in Queens.
According to police, the accident took place in the westbound lanes of the Grand Central Parkway around the area of Francis Lewis Boulevard. Few details have been released but it is believed that multiple vehicles collided with one another in the area. This led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.
