Staten Island, NY – Car Accident on I-278 Near Victory Blvd Leads to Injuries

Staten Island, NY (June 29, 2021) – At 7 p.m. on the evening of Tuesday, June 29, a car accident with injuries occurred on Staten Island.

According to officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-278 around the area of Victory Boulevard. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided forcefully with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues at this time.
