Staten Island, NY (March 31, 2021) – Around 7 a.m. on Wednesday morning, March 30, a car accident with injuries occurred on a major highway in Staten Island.
According to officials, the accident happened on the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge when multiple vehicles collided with each other. The accident happened on the Brooklyn-bound side and led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to assist those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area, which led to extensive delays until police cleared the scene.
