Staten Island, NY (April 22, 2021) – At 9:19 p.m. on Wednesday night, April 21, multiple people were injured in a house fire in Staten Island.
According to officials, the fire broke out in a home at 971 Ramona Avenue. Multiple fire crews arrived at the scene of the fire, which broke out in a two-story wood home. They were able to get the fire under control around 9:57 p.m.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. Three firefighters were taken to Staten Island University for treatment of minor injuries while one civilian also sustained injuries and was hospitalized at Staten Island University Hospital.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
