Staten Island, NY – House Fire Injures Firefighter on Harbor Loop

Staten Island, NY (February 8, 2021) – Around 9:41 a.m. on Monday morning, February 8, a house fire took place on Staten Island.

According to police, the fire broke out in a two-story home located at 120A Harbor Loop. Due to the severity of the fire, approximately 60 firefighters and 12 units were dispatched to the scene to bring it under control. It took half an hour for fire crews to bring it under control.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the fire. One firefighter, who has not yet been identified, was injured while fighting the fire. They were treated at the scene and then taken to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.

The investigation into the circumstances of the fire continues.
