Staten Island, NY – Three Firefighters Injured in House Fire on Victory Blvd

Staten Island, NY (June 26, 2021) – At 6:54 p.m. on the evening of Saturday, June 26, a house fire occurred in a home on Staten Island.

According to police, the fire broke out in a three-story home at 1072 Victory Boulevard. Fire crews were immediately called to the scene where they discovered that a home was completely engulfed in flames. It took a total of 25 units with 106 firefighters to get the blaze under control. It was finally put under control around 7:55 p.m.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene. Three firefighters were injured in the blaze. Two of the firefighters sustained minor injuries and one suffered from serious injuries.

The area was blocked for a period of time as police cleared the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
