Staten Island, NY (April 23, 2021) – At 1:40 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, April 23, a car accident took place at an intersection in Staten Island.
According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Richmond Avenue and Yukon Avenue. Two vehicles collided with each other in the area, with one of the vehicles overturning. This led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Two people in the overturned vehicle were injured and transported to Staten Island University Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.
