Staten Island, NY – Two Injured in House Fire on Commodore Dr

Staten Island, NY (May 17, 2021) – Around 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 17, two people were injured in a house fire in Staten Island.

According to police, the fire broke out in a three-story home at 144 Commodore Drive. When fire crews arrived, they discovered that the fire occurred on the upper floors of the home. Smoke was pouring out of the home until fire crews got the fire under control.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene. Two civilians, who have not yet been identified, suffered from injuries as a result of the fire. They are expected to make a full recovery.

The area was blocked for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
