Queens, NY – Multi-Vehicle Crash on Van Wyck Expy Leads to Injuries

Queens, NY (February 7, 2021) – Around 2:45 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, February 7, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred in Queens.

According to police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of the Van Wyck Expressway around the area of Atlantic Avenue. Few details have been released but it is believed that multiple vehicles collided in the area. The vehicles involved were badly damaged as a result.

Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene of the accident to assist those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not known at this time.

Two lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released. The investigation continues.
