Bronx, NY (January 3, 2021) – Around 10:50 p.m. on Saturday night, January 2, a serious hit-and-run crash took place at an intersection in the Bronx.

According to authorities, the accident happened at the intersection of East 140 Street and Bruckner Boulevard. A driver allegedly struck a pedestrian as the adult male was walking in the area of the intersection. The driver immediately fled the scene of the collision.

The pedestrian was found with severe trauma to his head and body in the westbound lanes of traffic. He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not yet found the driver responsible for the accident.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
